FORTIUS SOFTWARE FUNCTIONS
Sensational motor driven braking system. It can give much more resistance than the electronic brake system, and simulate a downhill situation (trainer makes wheel spin automatically)
Set up
- Calibration (insures the same power measurement each training, without calibration this could differ because of for example different tyre pressure)
- Scale factor (customers who own an advanced power measurement system can adjust power with this scale factor, when power does not match 100%. Factor between 80 and 120)
- Countdown (countdown before the training starts)
- Language (English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish and Italian)
- Weight (kg / lbs)
- Distance, speed (kmh / mph)
- Basic software settings like resolution, terrain detail etc.
Program settings
- Steering (on / off)
- Bicycle (3 race / 2 ATB)
- Collisions (on / off)
- Guide (on / off)
- Training info (on / off)
- Cyclists position (on / off)
- Sound (on / off)
- Heart rate (on / off)
- Camera (eye / behind / above / tether / rotating)
- Weather conditions. Wind direction, wind speed, sunshine, clear, cloudy, rain and mist
- Male & female rider
- Riders have aerodynamic positions, cheer, ride standing up, change gears, snivel, drink from their water bottles and make spectacular falls.
- Different outfits (Rabobank, CSC, Liberty Seguros etc.)
Users
It is possible to make teams, so you can add users to different teams.
- Weight
- Gender
- Length
- Date of birth
- Heart rate zones (is calculated automatically)
Opponents
Select up to 5 opponents
Terrains
- Atlantis
- Callisto
- Olympus
Functions while cycling
While cycling in the virtual world (one of the terrains mentioned above) the following traininginfo is displayed:
- Speed
- Cadence
- Power
- Heart rate
- Distance
- Time
- Position cyclists: the position of the opponents is displayed in a bar diagram in the bottom of the screen.
- Wind force and direction
- Position in the map
CATALYST FUNCTIONS
The Catalyst is included in the Fortius. The virtual worlds are meant for fun. The Catalyst allows an Fortius user to train more serious. Basically, the Catalyst has the same functions as the Cosmos. The main difference is that the Catalyst is a software program which works on a personal computer. The Cosmos is a stand alone system.
The setup, users and opponents are the same as for the Fortius.
Training
It is possible to program your own training. Choose for a slope- power- or heart rate -based training. In each category you can choose for time or distance. This means you can make routes (up to 99), based on time or distance. For example, in a slope based training, you can make a route of 2 km and slope + 5. So you can make up to 99 routes with different slope / power / heart rate and different distance / duration.
- Real Slope (between –5% and +20%, based on gradient in the real world)
- Time (between 10 seconds and 60 minutes)
- Distance (between 0,1 km and 99,9 km)
- Power (between 10 Watt and 990 Watt)
- Time
- Distance
- Heart rate (between 40 bpm and 230 bpm)
- Time
- Distance
- Free training is also possible. When you choose for this, you can adjust slope / power during the training.
Functions
All the training information (speed, cadence, power, heart rate) is showed in a graph and a bar diagram in the colour display. Besides that, the following information is showed under the graph:
Speed
- Actual speed
- Average speed
- Maximum speed
- Trip distance
Cadence
- Actual cadence
- Average cadence
- Maximum cadence
- Pedal revolutions during training
Power (Watt)
- Actual power
- Average power
- Maximum power
- Trip use in Kcal
Heart rate
- Actual heart rate
- Maximum heart rate
- Average heart rate
- Time under lower limit
- Time between limits
- Time above upper limit
Functions while cycling
While cycling in the virtual world (one of the terrains mentioned above) the following traininginfo is displayed:
- Speed
- Cadence
- Power
- Heart rate
- Distance
- Time
- Position cyclists: the position of the opponents is displayed in a bar diagram in the bottom of the screen.
- Zoom, to view details of the diagram
- Brake indicator (for upgraded i-Magic systems, the brake indicator also shows whether you are cycling in the real or virtual speed range)
ANALYSER FUNCTIONS
The analyser is a program to analyse your results after cycling. A diagram and a graph show the following data:
- Speed
- Cadence
- Power
- Heart rate
